Support Nathan Smith’s Stroke Recovery
On August 2, 2021, Nathan Smith (19) suffered from a thrombotic stroke. He has been hospitalized since the event, and has been moved to a rehab facility as of today. He has regained some speaking ability, but is still not able to move his right side. Because of his age and the interventions he was given early on, we are all hopeful for a full recovery, but it will take extensive rehabilitation. He is a great young man with a bright future, as he was just finishing up paramedic school. He comes from a family of 6 children, and his father is currently fighting multiple sclerosis. His mother, Brandy, is an RCIS who spends her days at work saving lives, and her time at home changing them. As the primary provider for her family, anyone who knows her will tell you that she is truly the kindest, hardest working person around, and any one of us would give her the world if we could. Please take this opportunity to be a blessing to this wonderful family—there is no one more deserving. This fundraiser is to help provide for medical expenses and missed wages as they navigate Nathan’s recovery.
