Hello, my name is Brent Zinnel. I'm reaching out for my friend Nathan Patrick Gibb. I've known Nate for 20+ years, and he has always been a loyal friend.
On October 12th, Nate was struck by a drunk driver who was speeding through the city of Monticello, MN, at approximately 70 mph in a 30 mph zone "The driver did NOT have insurance!" The fire department had to use the jaws of life to cut Nate out of his car and then airlift him to HCMC with numerous life-threatening injuries. https://www.hometownsource.com/monticello_times/alcohol-suspected-in-highway-25-crash-that-injured-3-in-monticello/article_600c1e52-ed9c-4b27-885d-fe528e3cc868.html
The doctors and nurses at HCMC have done phenomenal work. He's still currently in the ICU, but he's going to make it. His injuries include several broken bones, internal damage, and a head injury. He has had three surgeries, but more are to come. We are looking for support for medical bills, rehab, and his rent so he has a home to come home to.
Nate is loyal, honest, kind, and respectful. He can be a handful sometimes and can be quite the joker. He has a great sense of humor. He would never hurt a fly. I could write a book on how big Nate's heart truly is. Nate loves his friends and family with all his heart. He is an amazing uncle to ALL his friends' kids!
He's had a pretty rough life, but he was getting everything together. He just got his own place to live, a new used car, and a driver's license, and he just got a new job he was excited to start that week.
I'm sure if Nate could pass a message to everyone, he would say, Please, if you drink, drink responsibly and find a sober cab.
The pictures I have of Nate are super old as well, please share this on your social media but thank you for your generosity.
