Hi, I’m Nathalie; a mother of 5, a daughter, and wife. In early November, our family’s world shifted when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Breast Cancer.
Since then, I’ve spent the past several months undergoing chemotherapy alongside supportive therapies. We are thankful to be seeing encouraging results, and we remain hopeful as we continue walking through treatment and recovery together.
We are incredibly grateful for the prayers, love, and support we’ve received from our friends, family, and community. Your messages, encouragement, and kindness have meant more than we can express during this season.
As I now enter the next phase of care; completing chemotherapy, preparing for surgery, and moving into radiation this summer, we are prayerfully planning for what our family will need in the months ahead. I am currently on a leave of absence from work, which has affected our income, while medical and household expenses continue to add up.
Two of our greatest needs during this time are supportive medical care and summer childcare. Some of the therapies that are helping strengthen my body and helping me tolerate treatment are not covered by insurance, yet they have become an important part of my overall health. In addition, childcare for our younger children during the summer months will allow them to continue learning, and enjoy being children, while also giving me the ability to attend my appointments, rest, and heal well from surgery.
We have looked at the months ahead and added up the costs of medical and supportive care, medications/supplements, summer childcare, and basic household needs, and we estimate that we will need about $27,000 through the end of summer and into early fall to help make this all happen. Our fundraising goal also includes a small cushion for unexpected medical and recovery-related expenses.
We have created this fundraiser in an unexpected season of receiving, learning to accept help in ways we never imagined we would need. We are deeply grateful for every expression of love and support.
Your love has reminded us again and again that we are not walking this road alone.
With sincere gratitude,
Nathalie & Bryant
