Support Nate through brain surgery and recovery

Donation protected
Nate is a bright, funny, and deeply loving young man—a gifted pre-med student and musician who hopes one day to become a doctor and care for others. He finds joy in the quiet beauty of nature, spending time hiking through the woods and exploring new outdoor places. He’s an avid reader across genres and someone who is truly cherished by his family and friends.

Two years ago, Nate’s life changed suddenly when he suffered a brain bleed. He was diagnosed with an AVM—a tangle of abnormal blood vessels deep in the center of his brain that had gone undetected. Since then, he has endured multiple bleeds and ongoing symptoms, including severe headaches, loss of mobility on his right side, and compromised vision. This August, Nate will undergo open brain surgery to remove the AVM. While this surgery offers hope, it also comes with significant challenges. Following the procedure, Nate is expected to face at least a year of intensive recovery as his brain relearns basic functions—movement, coordination, and daily living skills. During this time, Nate will require extensive support, including adaptive equipment, ongoing therapies, and possible modifications to his home to accommodate wheelchair access. The financial impact of medical care and daily living expenses, combined with the need for full-time support, will be substantial. Nate has always met the world with curiosity and resilience, and we are holding onto that as he faces this next chapter. We are asking for help to give Nate the best possible chance at healing. Contributions will go toward medical expenses, rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, and making our home a safe and accessible place for his recovery. We are also deeply grateful for the incredible support we have already received over the past two years. The love, care, and generosity from our community have carried us through more than we can express. If you feel moved to support Nate—whether through a donation or by sharing his story—we are profoundly grateful. Your support helps carry us through a time that feels overwhelming and reminds us that we are not alone. Thank you for holding Nate in your thoughts, your prayers, and your hearts.
