Support Nate’s Family After Tragedy

On March 3rd, 2025, my brother Nathaniel went to the hospital for surgery. This surgery was to implant an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator). A couple years back, Nate was sick with pneumonia and a virus that severely weakened his heart. This device was going to be used to save him/ prolong his life if he needed it. Even though the doctors successfully implanted the device, Nate unexpectedly passed away due to a blood clot to the lungs.

Nate had a heart of gold and he always did the right thing. The personal outreach by so many that knew Nate and the kind of impact he had on them truly goes to show what kind of person he was. He would even stop Florida traffic to save turtles crossing the road. He was truly a gentle giant. Nate wasn’t the most outspoken, I like to think the girls in our family did that for him, but he loved from afar. He was always there when someone needed him.

To my family and friends, Nate loved each and every one of you whether he said it or not. He had his own way of showing love. To my Mother, you raised an amazing man, son, and brother. Don’t think for one second you don’t get credit for that because you get all the credit. You taught him how to be kind in a world that wasn’t always kind to him. Finally to Nate, we will miss your love and unwavering support. We will miss your kindness and level-headed advice. We will miss your smile.
