One of our own needs help. Nate Goppert who currently works for Dorchester County EMS, but has a combined 19 years of service between fire/ems has a loving family with a daughter in college and a 15 year old son. On the evening of February 15th Nate worked a 12 hour shift and after he left work experienced a medical event while driving. Nate religiously calls his girlfriend after shift, so after not hearing from him she became concerned and tracked his phone which showed him in a stationary position. After repeated attempts to get in touch with him she got into her vehicle and drove to him and found him confused on the side of the road. Nate then repeatedly called his supervisor and she knew something was seriously wrong. He was rushed to Trident Medical Center who was quick to act and immediately got a CT which showed a brain bleed and swelling. Nate is currently in stable condition, but suffers from short term memory loss and currently awaiting brain surgery. Nate has faithfully served his community. His job has been to help others in need, sometimes to save a life . He has been there for those of us who need help, so let’s donate what we can to give him a hand in his time of need. The money raised will be used for mounting medical bills and personal finances like rent and utilities.
