As most of you know, Jamaica has been struck by a record-breaking hurricane, leaving unimaginable destruction in its wake. Our dear friend Natasha is among those most affected. In just a few hours, she lost her home, all of her belongings, and the small business she poured her heart into. Her children no longer have a safe place to sleep, and she is faced with starting all over again from nothing.
Natasha is a devoted mother and the kind of friend who is always there for others. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her and her family.
Because of the island-wide breakdown of communication networks, Natasha has been unable to reach out herself. I’ve created this GoFundMe on her behalf to help her begin rebuilding—brick by brick—her home, her livelihood, and a safe environment for her children. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly to Natasha to support her and her family through this crisis.
Once she is able to reconnect online, she will personally thank each and every one of you for your generosity and support during this heartbreaking time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help. One love.
P.S. For those who don’t know me, I’m Anne-Laure, Natasha's friend from NYC. Natasha and I have been like sisters for over 12 years now, and her children call me Auntie Annie. If I could rebuild everything for her myself, I would—but I can’t do it alone. Please help me get her back on her feet. If roles were reversed, she would do it for you. Since GoFundMe cannot issue payments to Jamaican bank accounts, I will be transferring donations to her as they come in.
