Support Natasha through this difficult time

Meet my friend Natasha and her three boys.

Natasha has spent the majority of her adulthood caring for others and now she needs some caring and support.

I met Natasha a couple years ago when she came to us as a PSW for my severely disabled stepson. Quickly she became my friend. Despite going through a separation last summer after 10 years of marriage, she always showed up for work with a smile on her face and the most tender soul.

Over the last year Natasha hasn’t been feeling well but her complaints seemed to fall on deaf ears. So when she was brought into emergency in February for abdominal pain someone listened, the doctor ordered an ultrasound and saw something not quite normal. Things quickly changed from there it was test and biopsy after another and then from then her worst fears, Natasha was diagnosed with a rare invasive ovarian cancer that had metastasized. She was scheduled for a radical hysterectomy March 2nd. Unfortunately, there is no cure for her. She has met with Princess Margaret Hospital in hopes that she qualifies for a trail drug.

I am asking that we come together as a community to help Natasha financially while she unable to work and navigate life through treatment. The funds will be used to allow her to take time off work and focus on her  health and treatment while taking care of her sons, because we all know too well how fast bills pile up..

In Natasha’s words “I’m in this fight hoping to add more time for my boys. I’m just trying to buy time so my sons have the opportunity to have a mother as long as possible. I trust Gods plan with all my being. And till He calls me home, I will try my best to fight.”
