Support Natasha and Melandre fight Cancer

I am a colleague of Natasha Steenkamp and a few of us got together and want to launch this GoFund me as a support to her and her son Melandre, who are facing an unimaginable challenge in their lives.

Natasha, a devoted mother and dedicated Social Worker, made the brave decision to move to Australia in 2010 to provide her 3 children with safety and stability. Leaving behind her support network in South Africa, she embarked on a new journey filled with hope for a better future.

However, their lives took a drastic turn when Melandre, at just 15 years old, was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. The family endured the heart-wrenching process of aggressive chemotherapy, surgery, and the devastating news of the cancer's recurrence in Melandre's lungs.

Throughout this ordeal, Natasha has shown incredible strength and resilience, continuing to support Melandre with unwavering love and dedication. Despite the physical and emotional toll of his illness, Melandre remains determined to pursue his dreams, including starting a pre-apprenticeship to become an electrician.

As they face mounting medical expenses, travel costs for treatment, and the financial strain of supporting their family, we're reaching out to our community for support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in easing the burden on Natasha and Melandre during this difficult time and will allow the family to make some more memories with Melandre.
