Donate to support Baby Burhenn’s birth & heart surgery

Stephanie (Nat’s sister) and Annie (Nat’s friend) here! This GoFundMe is to support Stephanie’s sister Natalie and her family as they prepare for the birth of their 3rd baby (it’s a girl!) who was diagnosed with Down’s Syndrome and a hole in her heart (AVSD). They live on the big island of Hawaii where the medical services that they need are limited meaning they will have to travel to O’ahu a month before the due date (September 6th). They’ll have to stay in a hotel while they’re in O’ahu which could potentially be as long as 6 months depending on the baby’s health. The medical team on O’ahu won’t know the plan for baby girl’s care until after she’s born, so at this point they have no idea how long they’ll have to be there. Nat and Josh’s flights are covered by insurance but the tickets for their 2 kids are not. They’ll also need financial support at this time as Josh may not be able to continue to work while they’re away.

We know that God will provide for their financial and emotional needs while they navigate this really difficult time, and we ask for your continued prayers. Nat and Josh consider this baby a blessing, and, as our mom, Wendy Ott, said when she found out that a good friend of hers was having a baby with Down’s Syndrome, “God only gives good gifts.”
