Hello, my name is Natalie, and I am a sophomore at Woodbridge High School in Greenwood, Delaware. I have dreamed of becoming a nurse ever since I experienced firsthand what compassionate medical care truly means. As a child, I spent time in and out of the hospital with a condition that was difficult to diagnose. During that challenging period, I saw nurses and doctors work tirelessly to comfort me, help me, and genuinely care for my well-being. That experience inspired my passion for the medical field and my desire to help others in the same way. Over the years, that passion has only grown stronger, especially through babysitting and working closely with children, which has motivated me to pursue a future career in pediatrics.

I have been selected to attend a prestigious Medical Congress event in Boston—an opportunity that could open major doors for my educational and career journey. Attending this seminar would allow me to learn directly from experts in the medical field, gain a deeper understanding of medicine from many perspectives, and strengthen my path toward competitive colleges with strong nursing programs. However, this conference comes with several expenses, including the cost to attend, travel, hotel accommodations, and meals throughout the event. This fundraiser will help support me in covering these costs so I can take full advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I see this congress as both an academic milestone and a personal stepping stone — a chance to expand my knowledge, connect with mentors, and build confidence in the future I am working so hard for.

Although balancing school, personal life, and long hours of studying can be challenging, I stay motivated by breaking my goals into small, manageable steps and reminding myself of the impact I hope to make one day. I am determined not only to pursue my dreams, but also to give back by sharing what I learn with others and eventually helping my community as a future pediatric nurse.
