Hey guys, I want to first and foremost, thank you, for taking the time to read this.
It's not easy writing this, let alone asking for help but I just can't do this by myself anymore.
You all might know me as "Scooby's mom", or the waitress who waited on you in the breakfast spot for over 16 years.
Yup that's me..... I've lived in this valley since 1987, NEVER skied a day in my life, who raised an incredible daughter all by myself !!!
I may have had the pleasure of watching your kiddos back in the day as well.
I am also the same person who makes some really cool Hot/Cold Rice Therapy Packs, baby blankets and some of the coolest pet quilts in town.
I've gifted many of my therapy packs to health care providers, to say thank you. I absolutely love sewing when my back cooperates. I've been struggling for over 4 years, with a debilitating nerve sheath tumor (schwanomma) on my L-4 L-5. Bending over and reaching is really painful.
I had back surgery 3 years ago, but the tumor wasn't removed. The chronic pain has changed my life, including relationships with people , who can't understand what it's like to try, and live with chronic relentless pain., and trust me, I get it. Unfortunately I had to be rushed to the Vail ER on February 18th, by ambulance, because I simply couldn't drive myself to the hospital, because of the pain.
They wanted to transport me via ambulance to Glenwood Springs, but I was already thinking about "how much is that going to cost me" . I signed the waiver and drove myself to Glenwood, pain meds helped me get there, lol Long story short, I was hospitalized with a gaul stone blockage. The ABSOLUTE best staff at Valley View, treated me with so much love and care.
The entire staff at Acute care treated me as if I was there family member (actually even better than that).
David, and Mike allowed me to cry, they LISTENED to me, they acknowledged me, they really cared about ME, including Mike who held my hand, at 3a.m. when I cried my eyes out, so broken and all alone. People do care, just need to find them ❤️
I had the gallbladder stones removed the following day, and had a second surgery to remove my gallbladder, once the inflammation settled down.
This whole situation has left me in such a bad situation, mentally, emotionally and obviously financially.
I'm on disability because of my lower back tumor, $1530 per month.
Unfortunately this medical situation has left me with huge medical bills.
I've never asked for help but I just can't do this alone anymore.
I'm not asking for money towards my car repairs, my mortgage, my monthly utilities, my food, let alone a vacation, that's NEVER going to happen, lol.
I'm asking for help with my medical bills, please, please, please....
I also understand that times are tough, for everyone, so please don't help me, if you can't, I get it.
If you can try to help me spread my story, with others, I would be forever grateful.
I've never had to set up a GoFundMe, nor did I know how to.
I had someone help me with this, and I just wanted to share my story, in my own words, sorry it took some time to do so.
I absolutely ADORE all of you.
I appreciate ALL of you.
I WILL pay it forward, however I can, once I get better.
Please be kind to strangers, please love each other, I promise to do the same.
I'll try to figure out how to share my GoFundMe, once I am feeling better.
Lastly.... To EVERYONE at Valley View hospital in Glenwood springs.
YOU all MADE me feel sooooo incredibly LOVED, I am crying as I write this.
THANK YOU, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.❤️
