For Natalie, Daniella and Teddy,

We are reaching out today to ask for your support for the Kanevsky family, in the wake of unthinkable and unexpected tragedy with the passing of Alexander, a beloved husband and father. We have come to know the Kanevsky family through our daughters who became friends at school.

On this past July 28th, a day that began like any other, while maybe some of us were still thinking of vacation days or planning the return to school for our kids, Natalie and Daniella’s world was shattered with the sudden, unexpected loss of Alexander. He came down with a fever a couple days before with what was thought to be an unexpected viral infection. Shockingly, in the early hours of July 28th the doctors told Natalie and Daniella there was nothing they could do to save Alexander. For those of us who knew him, it still seems surreal to write these words.

There are some people who walk into a room and make it feel like an explosion of color. Alexander was one of those people, larger than life. An incredible artist, a doctor devoted to his patients, and most importantly the irreplaceable heart of his family. He didn’t just fix people. He listened. He painted light into gray spaces. He played with his dog, Teddy. But above all, he devoted himself to his family and lived every second to the fullest. Alexander had many plans and things, yet to achieve, completing his next painting, taking care of his patients and planning for his daughter’s college education. And then, suddenly, without warning, he was gone.

To his family, Alexander was the source of laughter, the anchor during the storms, the gentle advice and the big bear hugs. His presence could light up any room, and his love was the foundation on which their lives were built.

Now, Natalie, Daniella, and Teddy, his loyal German Shepherd who still waits by the door for his return—are left to navigate this unimaginable loss.
There’s the grief, of course. And the silence. And figuring out how to keep going through the everyday things when nothing feels everyday anymore. Without his steady hand and kind heart, they need support more than ever as they try to cover for the funeral and keep the warmth and security of their home for themselves and Teddy.

If you are able, please give what you can to help ease their burden so they can focus on healing. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to support them.
Please join us, so that together, as a community, we rally around to support Natalie and Daniella, and to show them they are not alone. Please share their story or donate if you can—your kindness and generosity will make a profound difference.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with them through this difficult time.

Thank you for reading, for sharing, for being part of this family’s next chapter.

Please hug your dear ones a bit tighter and closer today.

In loving memory of Alexander Kanevsky (15 November 1959 – 28 July 2025) and in support of Natalie, Daniella and Teddy.
