The Breslin kids are a vibrant bunch that my family has gotten the pleasure of getting to know over the years, not just as neighbors, but as friends. Their spirited salutations sent from their driveway to mine are a welcome reminder that I'm home when I step out of my truck. Always energetic and kindhearted, they have made fantastic playmates for my son and great allies in the neighborhood (rug)rat race! Now, the Breslin Family faces an unexpected obstacle and I'm imploring those who take the time to read this to lend their generosity.

Natalie is the dedicated matriarch of the family and a passionate shepherdess of her children's development. She was recently diagnosed with cancer that will require an intensive treatment regimen and pull her away from those whom she holds so dear.

Her husband Brian is a proud US Marine veteran who has become a close confidant of mine and has allowed me to bend his ear from time to time while standing on the sidewalk that our homes share. Like many in the industrial sector this year, his role was eliminated and he has been on the job hunt, but to no avail.

I admire these folks immensely and they were initially opposed to setting up a Fund, but there is too much at risk and it is time to act. Please consider their cause. If your situation does not allow for financial donation at this time, offer a prayer for their peace. God Bless Us All.
