My name is Natalie Moug. Those who know me know I love being an educator and am working on finishing my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I have worked for Chimacum School District for over 10 years and plan to teach there if I am able once finishing my degree. I am on the tail end of finishing my degree and have reached my student teaching portion. I enjoy student teaching and know being a teacher is what I am meant to do. Unfortunately, while I teach as a student, I am not able to get paid. It is similar to an internship. I work after school on the days I do not have my 3-year-old son, as well as on weekends, yet it's just not enough. I am doing everything I can to balance all the hats I am wearing now as a student, a teacher, and, most importantly, a mother. I also am not one to ask for help so making this is also hard for me. I am asking for help from my friends, family, and community to support me through these 3 months to achieve my career goal of being a teacher and creating a life for my son and I.
