Hi everyone,

My name is LaDavia (older cousin), and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of a brave and strong 16-year-old boy named Nasir who is now facing one of the most difficult challenges of his life.

On what should have been a night of celebration, July 4th turned into a nightmare. While simply watching fireworks with friends and family, Nasir was tragically caught in the middle of senseless gun violence and was shot in both legs

The bullet caused serious nerve damage, and doctors have confirmed that he has some lost of feeling in his left leg and is currently unable to move his foot. As a result, he is now beginning a long and uncertain journey of physical therapy, rehabilitation, and emotional healing. At just 16 years old, he should be focused on school, friends, and his dreams — not hospital visits, surgeries, and mobility struggles.

This incident has shaken our entire community. Nasir is a kind, respectful, and a hardworking young man who did not deserve this. The road ahead will be difficult — both physically and financially. Covering medical bills, there will be ongoing expenses for therapy, possible surgeries, assistive devices, transportation, and home adjustments to support his recovery.

We are asking for your help to ease the burden on his family so they can focus entirely on helping Nasir heal and move forward.
