Support My Nursing Study Abroad Experience in Kenya
Hi, my name is Naomi Garvin and I am a Certified Nursing Assistant with a deep passion for global health and patient care. I’ve been accepted into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a study abroad program in Kenya with International Medical Aid (IMA). This program will allow me to gain hands-on clinical experience in under-resourced hospitals and clinics, learn from experienced medical professionals, and immerse myself in a new culture—all while serving communities in need.
This program aligns perfectly with my mission to become a compassionate and skilled NICU nurse who can make a difference both locally and globally. Through this experience, I’ll expand my understanding of international health systems, strengthen my clinical skills, and grow as both a healthcare professional and a person.
While I’m beyond excited and grateful for this opportunity, I need your help to make it possible. I’m hoping to raise $6,000 by November 29th to cover:
• Program tuition and clinical placement fees
• Round-trip airfare to Kenya
• Housing and meals during my stay
• Travel insurance and required vaccinations
• Local transportation and supplies
Every dollar brings me closer to this life-changing journey. Your support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this campaign—means the world to me. I am committed to using this experience to deepen my skills, broaden my perspective, and ultimately give back to communities in need, both abroad and at home.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
With gratitude,
Naomi Garvin
