Support Naomi's Post Surgery Needs

Hi everyone,

If any of you know Naomi, even just a little bit, you probably already know she is one of the best people you will ever meet. She is incredibly strong and resilient and the most steadfast friend anyone could ever ask for. Another thing you will quickly notice about Naomi is that she is fiercely independent. This can make it hard for her to reach out for help, so we are reaching out for her. For almost two years, she’s been quietly battling debilitating health issues with seemingly endless doctor visits, tests, and surgeries.

Naomi is now preparing for her final hurdle. She will be having chest wall reconstruction surgery to stabilize her left ribcage in May to end the pain and struggles. During her recovery, she will be unable to bend or twist for six months. This means she will need a lot of care and support. She’ll be relying on family, friends, and in-home health care to help her through the healing process. However, Naomi’s apartment is not a conducive environment for her recovery. To give her the best chance at a smooth recovery, we are raising money to cover a couple of months in an Airbnb. This will allow her to stay close to her village and avoid the strain of traveling or being in an unsuitable space. Additionally, during the first few weeks of recovery, the dogs will have to stay with dog sitters.

The funds will help with:

• Airbnb stay to give her a safe, comfortable place to heal.

• Dog Sitting a dog sitter for the first few weeks of recovery.

Naomi is incredibly strong, but no one should have to go through this alone. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease her stress and let her focus on healing. And if you’re not able to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean so much.
