Naomi is currently facing her second cancer diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. At the young age 23, she is bravely undergoing chemotherapy and, in April, will begin the process to prepare for a stem cell transplant. This next phase of treatment means Naomi will be extremely isolated due to her low immune system—she’ll spend three to four weeks in the hospital and then several more weeks unable to go out in public.
While Naomi’s medical bills are covered, the emotional and mental challenges of isolation are significant. Having the freedom to purchase music, art supplies, books, and other things that bring her happiness will help her maintain some independence and comfort during this difficult time. Unfortunately, Naomi will be losing her hair again with the additional chemo treatments in the hospital. She has experience with wigs from her first cancer journey, and having the freedom to purchase a couple will give her a sense of normalcy. These small joys can make a big difference in her day-to-day life as she focuses on healing.
We are truly encouraged by Naomi’s prognosis, and her spirits remain high. This journey has been unexpected, but we are continually amazed and grateful for the support of our community. Naomi deeply appreciates all the positive prayers and words of encouragement she’s received. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help bring light and comfort to her as she continues her fight. Thank you for standing with Naomi and our family.
