Support Naomi's Fight Against Cancer and Lupus

Donation protected
Naomi is one of those people that comes into your life and you never forget her after you’ve met her. She is vibrant, strong, smart and has the best sense of humor. Her family means absolutely everything to her and she is an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and granddaughter. She is also a survivor. Naomi was diagnosed with colon cancer in November of 2024. This is only one of the many health issues she has had to contend with. She was diagnosed with Lupus in March 2015 and then discovered she had liver disease from Lupus in April 2021. She has been a fighter through it all. She lost her dad, who was her best friend, very unexpectedly in May 2019 and her son, one of her two children, had a serious car accident in October 2022 that led to a TBI (traumatic brain injury) that also led to many, many appointments where it was discovered that he has PV (Polycythemia Vera) which is a blood disorder that produces too many red blood cells. Naomi’s husband has dedicated years to his job and she did as well, serving as a leader in her community until her health took a turn for the worse and she has not been able to work for several years. As anyone can imagine, it is incredibly difficult to navigate health challenges but this is not just one health challenge for her, it has been several on top of loss and her son’s accident that led to them trying to persevere as a family through incredibly challenging times. Naomi helps her daughter, Brionna with her sons, as her grandsons, CJ and Giovanni are the absolute joys of her life.

On behalf of her family and on behalf of those that love them, we are asking for donations to help them with health expenses that will help cover Naomi’s chemotherapy, her other necessary medications, and travel expenses for the weekly trips, sometimes bi-weekly trips, that she has to take to UVA for her many doctor’s appointments. Naomi sometimes has $200-$350 co-pays on top of medication expenses that make the cost of living almost unachievable.

Naomi’s story is one that is hard because we realize how much we take our health for granted but she is also an inspiration to so many, she has stayed so strong and resilient and will continue to do so. Just look at her pictures! Always smiling and so incredibly proud of her family.

Please consider donating to her GoFundMe and thank you so very much to all of those that will donate and share her story!
