Naomi has put in a lot of hard work and time into her love for art! She recently entered her painting titled “Harvey” (pictured) into the Congressional Art Competition, a nationwide art competition held for U.S. high school students showcasing their artistic talents. One high school student per district is chosen, and SHE WON! Therefore, she is being flown to the nation's capital, Washington, DC, to showcase her work (with other high schoolers from all over the United States)! The plane tickets are covered, but all other expenses are out of pocket. She, and one parent, will spend a few days in Washington, DC, touring the Capitol building, engaging in celebratory events, and viewing the art display (located in The Cannon Tunnel). She is thrilled for this experience, and our family is so proud of her and how she has grown in her passion for art. Special thanks to her art teacher, Hanna Kuhns, for believing in her ability and encouraging her to step out into her gifting.
Any amount would help with the trip expenses! Thanks for reading and considering.
Love,
Lance and Allicia
