Support Naomah's Fight Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
Naomah Miller, a mother of 5 beautiful children ages 5-12, was diagnosed on February 15 with Burkitt's Lymphoma, a fast-growing, high-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Before any treatments could begin, she developed spontaneous tumor lysis syndrome (STLS). This is when rapid tumor cell death, often due to high tumor burden or rapid proliferation, causes the release of intracellular components like potassium, phosphate, and uric acid into the bloodstream spontaneously before any treatments can be started. This can cause damage to the organs. She was admitted to the hospital on February 24 with acute kidney failure and tumor lysis syndrome due to the high uric acid caused by the tumor lysis. Her first week was a hard battle of ups and downs as doctors wanted to begin treatments as soon as possible while also having to do many dialysis treatments to support kidney function. Her kidneys have made a slow rebound, and we give all the glory to God. She remains hospitalized as of March 13 because of very low white blood cells and platelets.
The road ahead will be a difficult one, and with Burkitt's, many times multiple hospitalizations can be expected. Being away from home and her children, who are everything to her, for nearly 3 weeks has been one of the most difficult things to walk through.
Due to the many hospital bills that have already occurred and for future treatments, we would love to bless this family first and foremost with lots of prayer and also financial support.
If you feel led to give and share this GoFundMe, they would greatly appreciate it!
