Aloha Ohana. Our beloved Nani was hit head on by a passanger van on Saddle Road late Friday night 6/16/23. But for the grace of god, angels, ancestors or whatever demon Nani prays to she has survived, but has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Now is the time to come together to support our friend who has no doubt painted our faces, watched our kids, made us foods, given us rides, made us laugh and the list can go on and on and on. She broke her funny bone (left elbow) (which her dominant hand becuase she's a weirdo like that). She has also broken several vertabres in her back. Liam (her dog) was with her and has no apparent injuries, but needs to go to the vet. Nani's personal belongings have not been returned by police. She is unable to access social media at this time. Please send a message for her contact information as it can't be listed on this page. Please feel free to give money immediately and directly to Nani via venmo @natisha-ward or just throw dollar bills at her. While Nani will NEVER forgive me for doing this, I am seeking financial support to cover the following: -Hospital bills -Vet bills -Lost wages (Nani is a bartender at Hilo Town Tavern and will not be able to work for several months) -Care for her dog Liam -Self-care -Future hospital bills for when Nani re-injures her elbow through wild gesticulations because she is portagee like that -Replacing clothes, keys, medications and all the things that remain in police custody. -A Laptop, which was destroyed in the crash OTHER WAYS TO HELP: -nice words, funny jokes and check ins -Send strippers or be a stripper if you're hot -help take care of Liam -referrals for safe, secure, affordable housing while she recovers. (Nani is between homes) -sharing food drinks and medicines -make playlists of favorite songs -share books, movies, shows Thank you for reading and please share far and wide! Mahalo Nui Loa
