In October 2023, our mom, Nancy, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a diagnosis no family is ever truly prepared to hear. She faced this battle with incredible courage, going through months of chemotherapy and radiation that gave us so much hope. For a while, the treatments worked better than anyone expected, and we were grateful for every bit of progress she made.
Recently, we received the heartbreaking news that the cancer has spread. After many difficult conversations, our mom made the brave decision to begin hospice care. Even with everything she’s facing, she has been feeling well enough to keep doing what she loves; her sewing, walks on the beach, and the small joys that make her feel like herself.
Moving to California for treatment created many financial challenges for our family, and as we navigate this new stage of her care, those challenges have only grown. Our mom’s biggest wish is simple: she wants all of us together for the holidays while she is still feeling strong enough to enjoy it.
If you’d like to contribute, share, or send prayers and good thoughts, we appreciate it more than we can ever express. Thank you for helping us make this holiday season full of warmth, family and the moments that truly matter.
With gratitude,
Kristina, Kevin, and Kate
