Hello~ I am reaching out to ask for much needed support for my sister, Nancy. She is a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and animal lover with a heart of gold.

On September 10, 2025, Nancy was involved in a horrific car accident and is truly lucky to be alive. The previous evening, she had been at the hospital by our mother’s side after the nursing home reported dangerously low oxygen levels. As our mom’s primary caregiver, Nancy dropped everything to be there sitting with her for hours, comforting her, and making sure she was admitted safely.

Finally, around 5 a.m., when our mother was stable and admitted for observation, Nancy started the drive home. Exhausted, she lost consciousness at the wheel, and her car rolled multiple times before landing upside down in a ditch. Trapped by the steering wheel and seatbelt, she held the horn, hoping someone would hear. Miraculously, a passerby did and called 911. Nancy also managed to call 911 from her Apple Watch, and dispatchers stayed with her until EMTs arrived. We are beyond grateful she survived and for the strangers who stopped to help.

While we are thankful Nancy is alive, the road ahead will not be easy. She now faces mounting medical bills, the loss of her vehicle, and many unexpected expenses while also continuing to care for our mom.

Update 9.17.2025

Thankfully, Nancy does not need surgery! She is now out of the hospital after breaking her back in three places. She’s slowly walking with the help of a back brace and walker, and while the road ahead will be long, she has already begun the healing process. We are so grateful for her strength and progress so far.

Unfortunately, the medical bills have started to arrive. The very first one, just for the ambulance was $4,000 (gulp!). This is only the beginning, and we know there are many more expenses to come. We are hoping her insurance will cover a healthy portion of these costs, but we haven’t received any word yet.

We are beyond thankful for all the prayers, kindness, and generosity you’ve shown. Every donation and every share truly helps Nancy focus on healing while easing the financial burden.
