On June 8th, my mom, Nancy, and my stepfather, Wade, were involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left them both with multiple injuries.

The accident happened when the car in front of them came to an abrupt stop, causing them to lose control of the motorcycle and crash.

Nancy suffered a severe concussion, multiple facial fractures, broken ribs, and a fractured sternum. Wade sustained seven broken ribs and a fractured sternum. They are both in immense pain and will be off work for the foreseeable future as they focus on healing.

Right now, they’re being treated at the hospital in Kamloops, far from home and family. This has created additional challenges, including travel and accommodation costs for loved ones trying to be there to support them.

With both of them unable to work and ongoing travel expenses adding up, they’re facing major financial stress just trying to cover basic living costs like rent, groceries, and bills. The physical and emotional toll is already overwhelming — they shouldn’t also have to carry the burden of financial hardship.

That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe — to help ease the pressure and give Nancy and Wade the time and space they need to recover.
