A dear friend of ours, Nancy Ortiz, is facing the unimaginable: a diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. In order to receive the life-saving treatment she needs, she was forced to leave her job so she could qualify for insurance that the hospital will accept—something her previous employer-provided plan would not cover.

This sudden change has created an overwhelming financial burden at a time when her focus should be entirely on fighting this disease. We are raising funds to help cover her essential living expenses and ease the stress of lost income during treatment.
