Support Nancy Holt's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, this fundraiser has been started to help Nancy Holt.

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance during what has become an incredibly challenging and overwhelming time in Nancy's life.

As some of you may know, she has dedicated her life to caring for others as a critical care tech since 1985, working in hospital emergency departments and ICUs. She has always found great joy and fulfillment in helping those in need. However, now it seems her role has been reversed, and she finds herself in need of help.

On May 2nd, she went into the emergency room with severe abdominal pain. What followed was a whirlwind of events that she never could have anticipated. She was admitted immediately, underwent a couple of CT scans, and was then informed that she has cancer. Within no time, she was being prepped for emergency surgery.

Now, just a few days post-surgery, she is recovering with a few drains and a colostomy bag that she will need for the next three months. Then, the next step in her treatment plan will be chemotherapy, which is essential, but extremely expensive.

Despite starting her current job on November 6th, 2023 and being eligible for medical insurance, an issue has prevented her coverage from taking effect. As a result, she is facing the daunting reality of paying for every medically necessary expense out of pocket. The costs of hospital bills, upcoming chemotherapy treatments, and everyday living expenses are piling up, and she is currently unable to work.

She is extremely overwhelmed by how quickly her life has been turned upside down and is humbly asking for any help & support during this time. Your generosity, whether through financial contributions, words of encouragement, or simply keeping her in your thoughts and prayers, would mean the world to her.
