My name is Amanda Ledezma and I am the Executive Director of Mountain Meadows Senior Living where Nancy Garcia-Peterson worked as a CNA for over 18 years. She actually trained me when I first started as a CNA :) ! I am organizing this fund to support her husband and sister as they are faced with medical bills and memorial costs.

Nancy was a CNA and trained well over a 100 CNA's here at Mountain Meadows in addition to her decades of service in other buildings and senior care. I am organizing this fundraiser to help support her husband who is living with chronic health issues and to pay for her memorial service.

Few people can say they have directly cared for and served as many people as Nancy did in her 35+ years of service as a direct care provider. She gave her career everything she had, picking up countless hours, working through grueling hours in the height of COVID, and ensuring her teammates had someone to rely on. She was a leader by example and kept the team strong and held other employees to a very high standard in the senior care industry. She inspired many to advance their careers and taught a solid foundation of how to care for others. At Mountain Meadows, she was referred to as our "work mom" and she was even dressed up as "mother of all the things" on Halloween one year, while her co-workers dressed as thing 1, 2, and 3. She was truly an amazing soul with kindness and compassion, while still tough as nails when she needed to be.

She passed away last week after her previous battle with breast cancer, which she later found had spread to other parts of her body. She and her husband had both recently retired due to health issues. She leaves behind her loving husband and her cat Rita, as well as her sister and other family members.

The team here at Mountain Meadows would like to invite others to join in donating finances to help cover the cost of her memorial service and assist her husband as he adjusts to life without her.
