Many of you know me as one of Nancy Buchholtz's close friends. Nancy and I have shared our love of hunting dogs and horses over the years - as I know many of you have as well. If you spend time with Nancy, you will most certainly hear about her amazing German Shorthair Pointers (Annie, Rudy and Brass) and know that she spends every spare moment that she has... training, conditioning and hunting with these dogs.
Yesterday, a tragic incident occurred while Nancy and Rudy were in the pheasant field. Rudy tracked a bird outside the boundaries of the hunt club and was shot by someone maliciously. Nancy scooped up her bleeding and injured dog and rushed him to the Emergency Vet as fast as she could. Rudy is in intensive care and it is believed at this time that he will survive. His body was peppered with shot gun pellets and they hit his lower eye and lung. At this time, we do not know who was responsible for this cruel and ruthless act.
If you are able to help support the enormous veterinary bills that are growing in any small way - it would be much appreciated by me on behalf of Nancy and her special boy, Rudy.
