As some of you may know, Nancy has recently been the victim of a sophisticated and cruel financial scam. This event depleted a substantial portion of her savings, shattering the financial security she spent her working life building. We'd like to launch this campaign to help her rebuild the foundation that was stolen from her.

Nancy approaches life with incredible strength and dedication—the same determination she brings to every triathlon finish line. As a matter of fact, those of us who have trained and raced alongside Nancy know exactly what it means to be 'lapped'—whether it's seeing her glide past you in the open water or watching her effortlessly pull away on the bike. While she is the definition of a powerhouse, she is just as happy to celebrate the success of her teammates. I have often been the recipient of a "good job" as she flies ahead. Does she hold her breath so it looks as if she is not working as hard? Coach Suzan Ballmer would be proud. That powerhouse determination is what she needs now as she faces a new, unexpected challenge.

After retiring just a year or so ago from a rewarding nursing career, she was excited to dedicate her time to her passions: reading, hanging with friends and family, swimming, dog training, giving back to the community as a hospice volunteer, and strength training.
