My mother-in-law, Rosalinda B. Atanacio (Nanay), passed away on Nov 9th after fighting a rare aggressive gastric cancer. She was in and out of the hospital for the past 2 months and was diagnosed with terminal 4 stage cancer a day before her passing. Our family is heartbroken from how fast we lost her.

Medical care in the Philippines is very expensive. With no medical insurance, our family is struggling with the overwhelming medical expenses and now funeral costs. So far, we have spent around $10,000+ for hospitalization, medications, laboratory work, and medical supplies. We are fundraising to cover additional medical costs during her last moments, funeral costs, and travel costs for family members outside the Philippines to attend the funeral.
