Normita Pilorin is the mother of our kababayan here in St Paul Glaiza Espejo who has been hospitalized since June 10, 2018. Nanay Normita (Dorie) suffered from heart attack due to blockage of the arteries of the heart and needs an open heart surgery called Coronary Artery Bypass and Grafting to remove the blockage. She is currently admitted at Sturgeon Community Hospital in Edmonton. As we may all know that Nanay Dorie is here as a tourist and does not have the privilege of medical services as an immigrant would have. Hospital cost alone is $5,000-$6000 per day for a standard room alone. There are doctor’s fees and procedures to add to this expense. Her insurance coverage does not cover the cost of heart condition and this expensive procedure.
I am asking everyone to help Nanay Dorie and her family to alleviate this burden of expenses. Your help would extend the quality of life of Nanay Dorie. A small amount is such a big help for the family and is greatly appreciated.
