Thursday, Oct 17th, 2024, it all started with James getting into a car accident, being rushed to the hospital, and unfortunately totaling our car. Luckily, James was okay; Nana told me that morning, "She needed to go to the emergency room because she was in so much pain and she was going to die." I didn't ask any questions and James' boss picked us up to take us to the emergency room. After getting there and Nana getting more tests done, we found out that she had blood in her urine, super high blood pressure, and was very confused. Nana ended up having a CT scan done and that's when our lives changed forever. Nurses flew in so fast after her CT scan came back, they stuck her with so many needles while explaining to me what was happening. Nana's aneurysm was going to rupture. Nana was rushed to get into the helicopter. Watching Nana leave in that helicopter was one of the worst days of my life. When Nana got Charlotte, her aneurysm stopped growing, and the doctors ruled it out as not an emergency at that time. Rescheduling surgery for a different day. Unfortunately, Nana's aneurysm couldn't wait and started growing and bleeding. They did surgery and it went well, Nana's recovery has been crazy. Shes been very confused because she has dementia and will be tested to see what stage she is at with dementia or if it's something else like Alzheimer's. She has moved from the hospital she was at in Charlotte, to a long term staying hospital in Greensboro and is now back in ICU because of internal bleeding. She has dealt with internal bleeding off and on the entire time, after her surgery. With Nana's absence due to being in the hospital, we were trying to take care of all the finances and realized that her bank account has been locked due to her being in the hospital. Unfortunately with nana being in the hospital, Mom and James have been out of work. We also did not realize how long it had been since the bills have been paid. Nana's account cannot be unlocked unless, Nana goes to the bank herself (in person). We tried everything we could do on our part, calling the bank multiple times and getting a ride there. Nothing will work unless, Nana goes up there herself. If we wait until nana can come home, so we can fix these financial problems, unfortunately nana would come back to being over $6,000 in debt and at risk for losing everything. Nana being the sweet woman she is, told us whatever we do to not ask for help, however we are lost and don't know what to do. We have been struggling in secret for awhile even before Nana went to the hospital but unfortunately it's just gotten worse. No one knows our stove is out and now our fridge, we don't have any money, we are living on coins in our house at this point. This is one of the most stressful times we've ever had to go through, we are asking for your help even if you can't help financially, could you give it a share, We'd appreciate it. ❤️
