The keiki of the Hawaiian Language Immersion Program at Nānākuli Elementary School are in need of your kākoʻo (support)!

We are seeking support from our community to help us pay for the bus for one last huakaʻi (field trip) this year! We have planned to attend the Marine Science Learning Center at Waiʻanae High School this FRIDAY May 2, 2025, but have ran into some issues with our transportation needs...

This field trip is so important to us because it will allow us to extend our learning beyond the walls of the classroom, and give us an opportunity to build pilina (relationships) in our community of Waiʻanae. It is also a chance for us to broaden our understanding of our oceans, the troubles it faces and how we, as haumāna, can do our part to make it safe for all! We love our home, and we want to do our part to protect it!
