Help Save Nala’s Life: Urgent Heart Surgery Needed
Donation protected
This is Nala, our beloved 1 year old Chow Chow, who just turned one last month in September. Recently, we were devastated to learn that Nala has a heart abnormality known as pulmonary stenosis, caused by the improper development of her pulmonary valve. While she appeared perfectly healthy when she first joined our family, this condition now threatens her life.
Nala urgently needs heart surgery to correct this issue. Without it, she will never be able to live a normal life, and her time with us will be tragically cut short. Those who know Nala know that she suffers from high anxiety, which complicates her condition even more. To protect her in the meantime, she’s been put on medication to slow her heart rate and keep her calm, as any excitement could put her at risk of sudden death. This means she can’t enjoy the simple things she loves—like walks or car rides—until she gets the surgery she desperately needs.
This life-saving procedure is highly specialized and available at only a few locations, with costs expected to reach $16,000 if there are no complications.
We understand this is a significant amount, and times are tough for many. But Nala is everything to us, and we want to give her the chance to live a healthy, happy life. Any donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to that goal. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we would be incredibly grateful if you could share Nala’s story with others who might be able to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Nala in her fight for life.
