Many of us have heard about the tragic murder of Daniel Brown, Rev. Najuma Smith Pollard's eldest son. He was shot in Las Vegas and succumbed to his wounds on Monday, October 29th.
His family made the incredibly selfless decision to allow Daniel to provide life for many other people as an organ donor. Their compassion for others in the darkest of hours is exactly who we have all known this family to be.
They need us to be equally as compassionate to them in this time of despair. Because of the extent of his wounds and his organ donation, his family has decided to cremate his body. This expense, along with others for his funeral, as well as the emergency and intensive care costs are enormous.
We are not fully aware of what the total will be so we have picked an amount that we imagine will at least cover the bulk of the expenses. We hope to exceed it our collective fundraising efforts. Any amount raised that is more than what is needed for his funeral and medical bills will be given to his sweet four year old son, Dillan, who has been left without his father.
Please join us in supporting Najuma and her family in what is an unbearable tragedy that no parent should have to shoulder. We can only offer our prayers, our presence, and our ability to ease this time for them.
