Hi from Ashley & Nahnu!
This has been a hard week for us, and it is difficult for me to even be here asking for your help. Nahnu is loved by so many people, so I am here to share what happened, hoping for some financial support during his recovery.
On Tuesday, 1/20, I took Nahnu to the vet. He was very sick and honestly, just not himself. The vet took X-rays and found a blockage as well as a tumor on his spleen. They rushed him into emergency surgery to save his life. I was told by the vet he had a 30% survival rate even after the surgery was done, due to whether the tumor was cancerous or not. He is currently recovering from surgery, and we received his biopsy results—the tumor was benign, and Nahnu can live a normal, playful, full life after he is all healed from the surgery.
We were blessed to receive a couple of grants from the BirchBark Foundation as well as Piece of Mind Rescue (my heart will forever be grateful for them both!) to cover a portion of the surgery cost. There is still a little under $4000 that I am needing to pay off. I know times are rough financially for so many, so I understand if you aren’t able to donate or not able to donate much, but anything helps! I am just so grateful my boy is going to be okay, grateful for the staff at Coast Vet, the amazing organizations that have already helped, and all of you! Please feel free to share this, and thank you for taking the time to read our story.
