I am devastated to even be having to write this story. Imagine being a 16 year old girl, waking up today without your mother. That is the tragedy that my bonus daughter is living today, alongside her siblings. Nahaly is the longtime girlfriend of my son Kymarion. Her family we have grown to love, as part of our own. Last night i received one of the most frantic phone calls a mother imagines. The pain trembling as my son struggled to get the words out, with nothing but terror cries in the back round. What seemed to be a typical hospital visit for “not feeling well” turned tragic as Nahaly’s mom quickly went into organ failure and passed shortly after her emergency transport to a better hospital. This family has very little resources, and with no warning, and no time to prepare, are left struggling with what to do next. Nahaly is the oldest sibling currently living in the house, and at 16 years old, on board for early graduation, should not be having to worry about how to care for herself without her mom. They will likely be displaced, and are going to be facing many battles along with having to figure out how to bring her mom back here, as she was enroute to another hospital at the time of her passing. I understand times are tough for everyone, but please imagine if this was your best friend, your mom, your sister, someone you loved. This tragedy hits so close to home for me, and i am hoping the people that love me, and love my son, can come together to help ease the burden that Nahaly is about to go through. With her youngest sibling being only one year old, times are going to be extremely tough. These funds will go directly to Nahaly for the support of her situation, to help with getting her mom back home and given a proper service, and to help get school supplies for her siblings. Nahaly, who has been working since 14 is the sweetest teenager i have ever met, and anyone who knows her would agree. This family has very little, and asks for nothing. They remind me of what real family is, by loving each other from the heart, never complaining about luxuries they never had, and not being mad about it, and Nahaly in my eyes has been the backbone of her family for so long. This little girl needs a break, and I’m hoping we can give her one. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Weather it’s 25 cents, or a prayer, every little bit helps. Please share. Love to all.
