Medical Update on Shenoya 

 Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, and prayed for my granddaughter Shenoya. 

Unfortunately, after months in the hospital fighting to recover from her devastating accident, she has now developed osteomyelitis — a serious bone infection — along with bone shortening in her injured leg.  

Doctors say she urgently requires another major surgery, external fixation, cement spacer placement, prolonged antibiotic treatment, ongoing wound care, and additional procedures to help correct the shortening of her leg and treat the deeply infected wound and bone. 

 Shenoya has already endured multiple surgeries and months of hospitalization, and our family continues to pay out of pocket for every treatment, medication, surgical supply, and hospital expense in Jamaica. She is only 18 years old and continues to fight through this painful journey every single day. We are humbly asking for continued support to help save her leg, treat this infection, and continue her recovery journey. Every donation, prayer, and share truly means the world to us. Hello, my name is Nadine Blake and I’m reaching out with a heart full of pain, hope, and faith.

My beautiful granddaughter, Shenoya Blake, was recently involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident in Portland, Jamaica. She was riding on a bike with two of her friends when they were struck by a car. The crash was devastating. The two young people riding with her tragically lost their lives, and my granddaughter was left clinging to hers.

By the grace of God, she survived — but she sustained catastrophic injuries. Her legs and pelvis were shattered, and she is currently unable to walk or move. She has already undergone multiple surgeries, and many more are still ahead. Her recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. The wrapped leg will be operated on next.

In Jamaica, every single medical need must be paid for out of pocket — from anesthesia and hospital stays to even the most basic instruments like scalpels and screws. Nothing is covered. The cost for her care is expected to exceed $100,000 USD, and our family is doing everything we can to keep up.

I work as a patient care technician, and I’m doing everything in my power to support her through this — but we cannot do it alone. I am humbly asking for your help.

• Surgical tools, medications, and hospital fees

• Intensive physical therapy and long-term rehabilitation

• Wheelchairs, mobility devices, and basic needs

We have graphic photos showing the extent of her injuries during the accident — and I wish I could show you the full pain we’re going through as a family. But what I hold onto is hope. Hope that she will walk again. Hope that with help, she can recover not only physically, but emotionally from this nightmare.
