Meet Sarah and Nadia
Sarah and Nadia, two women who are passionate about Neapolitan pizza and its cultural significance, need your support. Nadia is from Naples, Italy, the birthplace of Neapolitan pizza. Nadia is a chef instructor with over 25 years experience in food service and a passion for everything Neapolitan. She is the one that gets emotional when she finds Neapolitan pizza in the US! Sarah loves to travel, and she has tasted many different pizzas all over the world. Once she had Neapolitan pizza, it was love at first bite!
Shared passion
They met in college, Nadia being a culinary instructor and Sarah one of her students. While Sarah was attending the Farm to Table class taught by Nadia, they shared their passion for artisanal products, wholesome ingredients, and the culture behind food production. There is where they started exploring the idea of bringing Neapolitan pizza to Fayetteville, North Carolina. They flew out to California to take the Neapolitan pizza certification course, and then Naples, Italy, to eat pizza until they could not eat anymore of it (yes, there is such a thing).

Another thing Sarah and Nadia have in common is their service to our country. They are both veterans, Sarah served in the Army, and Nadia served in the Navy.
Trailblazers
The Neapolitan pizza market is male dominated. From pizzeria owners to pizzaiolos, women are not the norm. Perhaps because they are both veterans (the armed forces are still a male dominated field), or because they are confident in their skills, Sarah and Nadia are not strangers to challenges.
Why the support is needed
Why do they need your support? Because funding for start-up businesses, especially in the restaurant field, is hard to obtain, even if you have excellent credit. They have almost exhausted their sources of funding, and need your support.

About our pizzeria
The pizzeria is called Gusto Napoletano. The menu includes pizza Margherita and Marinara, fried pizzas (to die for), panini (made with pizza dough). The product mix also includes a professional Neapolitan pizza school (for those professionals who want to learn the skill/trade) and fun pizza making classes for adults and children. Gusto Napoletano’s goal is to promote Neapolitan pizza, a much healthier type of pizza, more digestible, and an example of clean eating.

How the funds will be used
Banks are more likely to issue a loan for equipment. However, when it comes to renovating the leased space, they are less likely to issue an unsecured loan to start-ups. Renovations to the space are underway. Like many renovation projects, hick-ups and costly surprises have ambushed the budget, bringing the projected start-up cost much higher than expected.
Our gratitude
Your support, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. You would help Sarah and Nadia make their dream come true. The funds will be used right away to bring this great project to completion. Gusto Napoletano will be the only pizza school south of Maryland on the East Coast. Your support will allow Sarah and Nadia to promote Neapolitan pizza and culture throughout the Southeast United States.
