My name is Ana Alvarez, I am running this campaign for Nada. Here is her message
I am Nada from Gaza, 23 years old, married with two daughters. My dream was to live a beautiful and happy life with our children. But then the war came and fear began to surround us. Our house was bombed, but miraculously we survived. After the war continued for more than 450 days of fear, displacement, and hunger, strange symptoms began to appear, including pain in my neck. I underwent some tests and they discovered that I had a disease called "Sultan" (enlarged lymph nodes). After the news came, my thoughts began to rage. I thought about my children's future, how they would live if something bad happened to me or them. Who will stand with them or feed them? I thought of creating a donation link to help me. I hope you can help me or share my story, perhaps it will reach a beautiful and kind heart. Your standing with us will help me live. I am writing our family story on the 550th day of the war. To date, thousands of civilians have been killed or severely injured, and more than two million civilians have been displaced from their homes to live on street corners, public places, shopping malls, and agricultural lands. Moreover, more than 80% of the city’s buildings have been completely or partially destroyed, including 30 out of 40 hospitals/health centers, and most of the university campuses/educational institutes. Because of the war, it has become impossible to provide the money needed to live, buy food, clean drinking water, and education here. I will use this money to save what the war has destroyed and to provide housing, especially as we are approaching winter, when we need winter clothes, home repairs, and protection from the cold and hunger of winter. That day, I told my family that I had a way to save our lives: to create this fund to collect donations. He asked me, "Will you succeed in raising the money that will help us evacuate Gaza before we leave at any moment?" I was unable to answer his question, but your generous donations will suffice. So, please help me cover the travel costs for my family of four. This campaign: I launched this campaign to ask for your help and support. As a person who has lived a full year under the burden of war, destruction, and tragedies, I turn to you and ask for your help. Help me and my family have a chance to survive war, death, and hunger. A new journey to live and recover from the trauma and painful memories I experienced during the war. Your support during this difficult time will give us hope. This money will also help me cover my living expenses and buy food in Gaza. Buying food and groceries in Gaza is something we cannot afford on a daily basis due to the high prices, and there is no job opportunity here. I will also use the money to buy cooking gas and firewood, which will also be used to light fires for cooking and to keep warm during the cold nights in the coming days. I am afraid for my children's future if something happens to them. After confirming the disease, fear and anxiety began. The doctor said that you want to receive treatment abroad, but due to the situation we have, you will not be able to go out. He asked me to buy healthy food to live longer. Your support helps me live. Your support and assistance helps me. Share my story with the whole world.
