I am fundraising for my elderly disabled neighbor, Mirka, who is at immediate risk of eviction. She lost her husband and is now alone, with no family nearby to help her through this crisis.

Due to falling behind on rent, Mirka now owes $9,000 and must pay it by December 11 to avoid being evicted from her home. This is the home she shared with her late husband and where she has lived for many years, and losing it right before the holidays would be devastating for her.

Mirka lives on a very limited income and has been doing her best to stay afloat, but she simply cannot come up with this amount in such a short time. She is a kind, quiet neighbor who has always been respectful and caring to those around her, and now she urgently needs her community’s support.

All funds raised will go directly toward paying her overdue rent and fees to stop the eviction so she can remain safely housed. If we are blessed to raise more than the goal, any extra will help her with upcoming rent and basic needs like utilities and groceries. I am happy to provide documentation of the eviction notice and rent balance to anyone who requests it, to ensure full transparency.
