Hi, this is Jeffrey Nolasco. I'm raising money for my wife, Myra's Stem Cell Collection/Transplant. She was diagnosed in August 2024 with Bone Marrow Cancer/Multiple Myeloma. Myra has been going through treatment since November 2024 til present and is now getting close to her stem cell collection/transplant at UCSF Cancer Center. Unfortunately, the insurance does not cover only doing the collection treatment (it has to be both the collection and transplant as one treatment) and the copays are extremely high. All these changes just happened in March 2025. It was very much a shock to us. Her immune system can not handle a transplant right now, otherwise she would of scheduled the whole treatment at $0 cost. That transplant treatment requires traditional chemotherapy and radiation(very strong medicines that weaken the body and are extremely painful plus it brings down your immune system). So, we have chosen wait for a few months to get her immune system as strong as possible to be able to withstand all that. We appreciate everyones thoughts, prayers and donations.
