When Kayla and Lars found out they were going to be parents, they were beyond excited. At their 20 week anatomy scan, it was discovered that Kayla’s cervix was dilated and she would need immediate surgery so baby boy could have a chance to make it to viability. Despite the doctor’s best efforts, Kayla’s water broke during surgery, resulting in a permanent hospital stay until baby was born. For 8 weeks, Kayla and Lars stayed at the hospital, hoping and praying that their miracle baby would continue to grow until he was ready to meet them.

On May 9th at 10:38pm, barely 28 weeks gestation, Myles Graham Livengood decided it was time to make his appearance. He weighed only 2 pounds 5 ounces and was 15 inches long. Every day since has truly been a miracle.

Kayla and Lars have spent every one of the past 100+ days with Myles, showing only a glimpse of the amazing parents they are going to be. Now that Lars is back at work, he will be driving back and forth to the hospital. Funds will be used to help with gas, food, and everything in between so that Myles has the best chance at coming home soon.
