To Our Family, Friends, and Supporters,
We humbly share this information in response to the overwhelming amount of support we have been getting from all of you. Your actions, words, prayers, and encouragement is what is carrying us through this unexpected time in our lives. Thank you all.
On March 27th, we found out our sweet, little guy Myles, had a Pilocytic Astrocytoma. This is a slow growing tumor at the base of his brain that affects his primary central nervous system. This was discovered after Myles had an intense and emergent health scare that led us to the ER, then through a series of neurological tests. Thankfully, these tests illuminated the tumor and surgery was scheduled urgently.
Fortunately, Myles had his brain tumor removed on April 3rd. Since then he has been fighting hard to heal well. His body and spirit have gone through so much and are struggling daily to restore. The doctors and nursing team in the Pediatric ICU have been a great support in making sure our guy is well cared for. We still have a long, long road ahead as we await a clearer diagnosis and treatment plans are determined for Myles.
Our hope is that Myles returns to the active, loving, giving, kind little guy we all know. Our hope is that he and his baby brother Gray grow up together and have a rich and full life. Myles LOVES being a big brother to him. Myles and Grayson are our heart in human form. Our dreams for our son have never changed, even when our souls have been pierced over and over again as we watch him suffer. No one knows why such unjust things happen in this life. But, we are confident in the fact that we only get through these times, together.
Once again, thank you for supporting us. Anything you want to share or give is abundantly appreciated and we know our thanks are not quite enough. So please hold onto our unending thankfulness for helping save our son's life. You all are so important to us!
Love and Gratitude,
Alyssa, BJ, & Baby Brother Gray Bio
