Support Myles' Battle Against Leukemia
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Karren and I am Myles’ mom. On May 1st, 2024, Mark and I received the most heartbreaking news every parent dreads to hear. Myles was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B ALL). This news has completely shattered us. No child should have to go through such a horrendous and terrifying disease. A parent should never have to witness their child fighting for their own life.
Myles is a wild and free spirited 5 year old boy. He is a non-verbal autistic little genius. He loves books, Blaze and the Monster Machines and going to Disneyland. This has been a really tough journey for him, as it would be for all children his age facing this battle. But Myles has a lot of sensory sensitivities and is non-verbal. He’s not able to communicate verbally what/how he feels or if anything is hurting him inside. He has to solely rely on me and Mark to read his cues, gestures, mood, facial expressions and body language. Imagine going through this not being able to let anyone know your pain. This is just the absolute worse. He is fighting double the battle and it truly, truly breaks our hearts.
As Myles begins his extensive treatment for the next two years, Mark, who is the sole provider for our family, will be unable to work during the duration of his treatment. Since receiving Myles’ Autism diagnosis in 2020 and loosing my father in law later that same year, who was our primary care taker, I have been a stay at home mom to care for Myles and his big sister Mia.
We are the type of people who almost never ask for a helping hand, but we had to find the courage to do so for this heartbreaking matter. We are asking for any donation amount you are able to give in order to help my family as we go through this extremely difficult time. Your donations will be put towards helping with medical expenses, housing, basic daily needs, etc. during the duration of Myles’ leukemia battle.
If Venmo is preferred, contributions can be sent to: @Karren-Abueg.
Thank you all for your love & support. Please continue to keep Myles in your prayers.
