Dear Family, Friends, Mentors, and Supporters,
This summer, I’ll be traveling to Panama with UC San Diego’s Global Brigades to serve in rural communities with limited access to healthcare.
In many of these communities, families go years without seeing a medical provider because clinics are far away, resources are limited, and financial barriers make routine care difficult. As a pre-PA student with clinical experience as a CNA, I am passionate about serving underserved populations and becoming a provider who prioritizes compassion and equity in healthcare.
For six days, I will work alongside licensed professionals and local community leaders to help provide medical care, health education, and public health outreach. What means the most to me is that this isn’t just about showing up for a few days — it’s about helping build something that continues long after we leave.
My goal is to raise $2,645 to cover travel, lodging, medical supplies, and support ongoing community health initiatives in Panama. Any support — big or small — truly makes a difference.
If you feel moved to give, donations can be made here on GoFundMe.
If it’s easier to give directly, I’m also able to accept Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Cash app — just reach out and I’ll share the information.
If you would prefer to donate directly through the official Global Brigades website, please select “Volunteer” and choose Mylani Quinata to ensure the funds are applied to my program.

Donations made directly to Global Brigades are generally tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers.
Thank you for believing in me and in the power of accessible healthcare for all
With gratitude,
Mylani
