At 23 weeks pregnant, I was considered a high-risk pregnancy and started to get weekly ultrasounds for baby girl's measurements. I was told that I could be at risk of preeclampsia and I began to check my blood pressure three times a day.
At 31 weeks pregnant, I noticed that my blood pressure started to spike very high and I had a pain on my right side. That Monday night, Trey and I went to the ER to make sure things were okay. With very high amounts of protein in my urine and my blood pressure spiking up and down, the doctors decided to keep me at the hospital (in hopes to get me and little girl to 34 weeks). After many tests and checking my vitals through the night and all day Tuesday, they concluded that my body was only getting sicker and sicker and made the call to perform an emergency c-section Wednesday morning. The doctors shared that I had severe preeclampsia and it was safer for me and my little girl to have her delivered early.
On Wednesday morning, before heading into surgery, I got the chance to have confession and anointing of the sick by the grace of God, which was the biggest blessing for myself and Myla! Thank you, Jesus!
At 9:52am on August 28, Myla was born and surgery went well! My vitals over the next few days were improving and I got to see my beautiful daughter on Thursday after much-needed healing and rest.
On September 3, 2024 I got a call from the doctor that Myla will need to be transported to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee to a higher NICU. She is experiencing a heart murmur. Please pray for us during that hard time.
Myla was able to be baptized on September 3, 2024!
With upcoming medical bills for the months spent with baby Myla in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and transport to a new NICU in Nashville, Tennessee costs will add up quickly. If medical costs do not surpass expected, they will go towards purchasing necessary items off of the baby registry, preparing a place for Myla, and etc. Thank you in advance for any amount donated, may God bless you for your generosity!
Trey and I are overwhelmed with the love, prayers, and support that everyone has shown us. This has definitely not been easy on us in any way, but God has a big plan and brought the most beautiful girl into our life! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and know that we are so appreciative of everyone for taking such good care of us.
Please continue to pray for Myla and her continued health and growth, for she has a long road ahead of her. We love you all so much!!
