Help Mykel Windom Fight Stage 3 Lymphoma

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help. My 16-year-old son, Mykel Windom, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL)—an aggressive form of cancer that has completely shaken our family’s world.

Mykel is a bright light in all our lives. He’s a 10th grader at Oakhaven High School, where he has always been a shining star—straight A student, Honor Roll recipient, leader of his freshman class, Homecoming Prince, and a dedicated trombone player in the school band. He’s been awarded over $150,000 in college grants and scholarships already and dreams big about his future.

He’s not just a hard worker—he’s a loving big brother to Kamya and Khree, a loyal friend, and someone whose smile can light up a room.

But since Valentine’s Day, our vibrant, unstoppable Mykel has been in and out of hospitals, facing the unimaginable. He's battled a severe blood infection, undergone multiple surgeries, and we've come terrifyingly close to losing him twice.

The cancer is aggressively spreading, and his treatment will require extensive chemotherapy, hospital stays, medications, and round-the-clock care.

As a mother, it's heartbreaking to see your child fight for his life. And while I stay strong for Mykel, the financial burden of this fight is becoming too much to carry alone. Between bills, travel expenses, time off work, and the cost of everyday needs, we’re overwhelmed. His treatment is scheduled for the next 6 months.
